Hello I’m Lenard!

Since I m 18, I m travelling as backpacker around the world. Meanwhile I have been at 43 countries at 4 continents and I still want to travel.

Thus I decided to start a world around trip. I use the time after the university to find my own way and stopped working at a good engineering company. My adventures and what I plan in future you can find on this page here.

I love the change and the challenge! I live absolutely minimalistic and travel with limited luggage. My luggage mainly consists of books which I read on my long journeys in trains or buses. However I also like being in national parks and mountains where I have beautiful scenery and can do a lot of sports but I also can sometimes relax and enjoy a drink at a beautiful beach. For once in a life time- and adventures activities like skydiving or bungee jump I spend more money. Undoubtedly, I m a flexible and spontaneous guy who always knows what he wants and what not.

My Life

Since I m a young boy I dream about seeing the world like in that fenzy movies where young boys travel around the world and experience adventures. Later it becomes more realistic nevertheless I m looking for challenges, new experiences and adventure. When I have still been at school I started my first backpacking trip together with one of my best friends at South France. However I liked it and travelled in the next years after to Asia, Southern Africa or East Europe. Sometimes I combined my journey with sportive challenges like travelling by bike along the Cote d’Azur or running to the Annapurna Basecamp within one day.

Although I studied dual together with the company Schenck Process it was possible to travel. In fact Schenck Process supports me in travelling and my adventures. Thus I passed one of my practical semester in South Africa, run extremely mountain races like the Ultratrail 100km at the Zugspitze or wrote my bachelor thesis in China. The dual study programm gives me the opportunity to live abroad and learn more about different cultures but also to live my dreams. Furthermore I learnt what does it meant to work international. Finally I know how it is travelling but also working abroad. I enjoy both but for sure it will not be possible in future to travel for a long time as long as you have a job. So I decided to quit and start a world around trip, because maybe later it will be not possible anymore. So start your dreams and wishes now!
